FAQs
What services do you offer?
1
We offer a range of solutions designed to meet your travel needs. We offer all vaccinations, except Yellow Fever, Malaria Prevention, Traveller’s Diarrhea prevention education and treatment, and symptom relief medication in case you’re feeling unwell while you’re gone. You can also contact us any time during your travels for a one-on-one consultation with a Registered Nurse to walk you through what steps to take and if you truly need to be seen in a local clinic.
How do I get started?
2
Getting started is simple. Book an initial consultation and after meeting with the prescribing clinician we can develop a plan of care that best suits your needs. The second visit is when the nurse comes to administer the vaccines in the comfort of your home. If injectable vaccines are not required a second visit may not be necessary.
How much does this cost?
3
A standard consultation and vaccine administration cost 125$ all inclusive. Often times this can be reimbursed through your benefits plans, although individual benefit plans may vary how much they cover. The cost is kept down by prescribing the medication through your local pharmacy to charge your benefits directly for the vaccines and medication. Our team is happy to pick up from the pharmacy and deliver to you at no additional cost on our second visit
How can I contact you?
4
You can reach us anytime via our contact page or email. We aim to respond quickly—usually within one business day.
Are vaccines really required to travel?
5
Yes! Some countries even have restrictions on entering if you are not properly vaccinated. It is always recommended to be vaccinated against common travel associated illness if there is a safe and effective vaccine available.
Won’t antibiotics just give me more diarrhea?
6
The antibiotics prescribed for Traveller’s Diarrhea treat the cause of the diarrhea being bacterial. While yes, you may experience further diarrhea as a side effect, it generally resolves quick on its own after finishing treatment and much faster than not treating it at all. Further discussions can be had in consultation to explain further.
Do you have an office I can come to instead?
7
At this time, we do not have a patient facing office as we focus mainly on meeting you where you’re at but we’re happy to conduct virtual consultations and discuss options for vaccine administration at that time.
